Safety
Lattice is a coaching and personal growth tool. It is not therapy, not medical care and not a crisis service. That boundary is enforced in the product, not just written on this page.
If you are in danger, or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country immediately. Lattice is not able to help in an emergency and should not be used as a substitute for one.
In the UK and Ireland, Samaritans can be reached free on 116 123. In the US, call or text 988. Elsewhere, search for your national crisis line.
Every message you send to the coach is screened before coaching begins. Messages are classified into four levels: normal, low concern, high concern and crisis. Coaching only proceeds normally at the first level.
At high concern, Lattice stops coaching and responds with a safety-oriented message that points towards human support. At crisis level, it stops entirely and directs you to immediate human help. Safety responses are never buried inside ordinary coaching, and the coach will not try to talk you out of seeking help.
Safety events are logged internally with the classification, the trigger and the action taken, so that the product can be reviewed and improved. They are not used to build a profile of you, and they are not shared with other users.
Lattice keeps a small, structured memory: your preferences, constraints, coaching preferences and useful patterns. Every item is visible on your profile, and every item can be edited or deleted. You can also delete conversations and export or delete your whole account.
